What is the Position?

PartsBadger is seeking a hands-on, execution-focused Software Delivery Manager to oversee software development delivery and team execution across a remote development team.

This role is responsible for ensuring projects, enhancements, and deployments are delivered on time, with high quality, and aligned to business expectations. The Software Delivery Manager will establish accountability across the team, enforce SDLC standards and best practices, and drive consistent execution across initiatives.

The ideal candidate is organized, delivery-oriented, and comfortable working across business stakeholders, engineering teams, Infrastructure, and DevOps. This person will help drive adoption of AI-assisted development workflows and automation practices that improve developer productivity, quality, and delivery consistency.

PartsBadger is a relaxed, casual work environment located in Cedarburg, WI. We are ITAR registered and hold AS9100 and ISO9001:2015 certifications. Our 15,000 sq. ft. facility blends office and production space. We offer fully stocked snack/beverage rooms, free daily lunches, and a 5-hole disc golf course. We continue to develop our space for idea generation and collaborative work.


Duties & Responsibilities

Software Delivery Execution

  • Manage day-to-day execution of software development initiatives
  • Ensure projects, releases, and deployments are delivered on time and with high quality
  • Track deliverables, timelines, priorities, dependencies, and risks across initiatives
  • Drive accountability and follow-through across the engineering team
  • Coordinate delivery activities across multiple concurrent projects

Team Management & Accountability

  • Manage and support a remote software development team
  • Establish clear expectations for delivery, communication, and quality
  • Ensure alignment across team members, priorities, and business objectives
  • Remove blockers and help teams maintain delivery momentum
  • Foster a collaborative, execution-focused team culture

SDLC Standards & Best Practices

  • Enforce SDLC standards and and engineering best practices
  • Ensure consistency across:
    • Development workflows
    • Code reviews
    • Testing and QA practices
    • Documentation standards
    • Release readiness processes
  • Drive continuous improvement in software delivery processes and operational efficiency

AI-Assisted Development & Automation

  • Support implementation and adoption of AI-assisted development workflows
  • Help identify opportunities to improve delivery speed and quality through automation
  • Promote tools and practices that improve developer productivity and reduce manual effort

Business & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Translate business requirements into practical, actionable technical solutions
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to align priorities, timelines, and expectations
  • Drive execution across initiatives while balancing business needs and technical constraints
  • Communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies clearly to stakeholders

Partnership with Infrastructure & DevOps

  • Work closely with Infrastructure and DevOps teams to ensure reliable deployments and stable environments
  • Coordinate release planning and deployment readiness activities
  • Ensure delivery processes align with operational, security, and platform standards

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Ensure systems, code, and engineering processes are properly documented
  • Promote strong documentation practices across the engineering team
  • Help build a culture of knowledge sharing, consistency, and operational maturity


Required Qualifications

  • Experience managing software delivery, engineering operations, or development teams
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and engineering best practices
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical initiatives
  • Strong organizational, communication, and execution skills
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and automation workflows
  • Experience working with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management processes
  • Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or modern software delivery frameworks
