Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking an experienced Machinist for our client in the Greensboro area. Candidates who apply need to have familiarity setting up, programming and operating a variety of Manual Machining equipment. This is a 2nd shift, Direct Hire opportunity.
Pays up to $40hr DOE!
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate manual equipment, including Haas, Okuma, and Bridgeport machinery.
- Produce parts from blueprints and technical drawings.
- Work with manual machine shop equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinding equipment.
- Prepare shop drawings as required.
- Use precision manual and some CNC measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and similar tools, to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Inspect components to detailed specifications and tight tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform work within estimated hours.
- Follow all manual safety procedures and specifications.
- Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties.
- Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner.
- Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience programming manual and CNC machines is required.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience with precision measuring.
- Familiarity with Haas, Okuma, Bridgeport, or similar equipment strongly preferred.
- Experience with FANUC controls is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions.
- Proven history of excellent attendance.

- CNC: at least 2 years (Required)
Shift availability:
- 2nd Shift 3pm to 130am/Mon - Thurs
