Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing organization in the Triad area. This role is ideal for someone with strong Accounts Receivable experience, solid Excel skills, and the ability to support multiple accounting functions in a fast-paced professional office environment.
Pay: $50,000–$60,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate invoices for new and existing customers
- Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
- Perform business-to-business collections and follow up on outstanding balances
- Apply payments accurately to customer accounts
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Assist with 3-way invoice matching
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and maintain reports using Excel
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal team members
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as business needs change
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience required
- Strong Excel skills required
- Experience with AP, reconciliations, cash applications, and invoice research preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to shift priorities and support changing business needs
- Four-year degree preferred, or 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
