Advanced Personnel Resources is recruiting for an experienced Shift Lead to join a growing manufacturing operation in Greensboro, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing professional looking to take the next step into a leadership role with a stable organization.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading production teams, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, troubleshooting production issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Direct Hire
  • Salary: $80,000 annually
  • Schedule: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Flexibility to begin as early as 2:00 PM when needed
  • Overtime available as business demands require
  • Location: Greensboro, NC

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support production employees during the assigned shift.
  • Coordinate daily production activities to meet quality, productivity, and operational goals.
  • Monitor production processes and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
  • Promote and enforce a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with employee training, development, and shift communication.
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and operations teams to resolve production concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Prior leadership experience as a Shift Lead, Lead Operator, Team Lead, or Supervisor preferred.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, production processes, and quality systems.
  • Basic computer skills, including production reporting and data entry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead by example.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable working around production equipment and industrial materials. Steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses are required.
