Job Description

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our biotechnology team supporting research in novel plant breeding methods. The ideal candidate will have experience in plant tissue culture, sterile technique, and data documentation and a proven ability to execute experiments, analyze results, and maintain a safe laboratory environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process samples under sterile laboratory conditions.
• Measure, image, and analyze experimental results.
• Coordinate sampling and prepare samples as needed.
• Execute plant tissue culture work, including plant transformation, plant propagation, and analytical assays of plant tissue samples.
• Maintain a safe work environment using aseptic, sterile techniques.
• Document experimental details, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Record pertinent information in proprietary and standard software applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or equivalent education and experience.
• Hands-on experience with plant tissue culture and sterile technique.
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail for repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work well in teams and independently with effective time management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Plant transformation experience in classroom or industry settings.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Driving Required: No.
• Special Equipment: Closed toe and heel shoes.
• Total Openings: 2.
