Math Instructor – Mathnasium (Georgetown)

We are hiring a Math Instructor in Georgetown to join our team and help students build confidence, strengthen their math skills, and develop a positive attitude toward learning.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with kids and want to make a meaningful impact in a structured, supportive, and high-energy environment. At Mathnasium, we teach math in a way that makes sense to students—and we’ll train you on everything you need to succeed.

Quick Role Summary

As a Math Instructor, you will work directly with students of varying ages and skill levels, delivering personalized instruction using the Mathnasium Method. You will create an engaging and encouraging environment where students feel confident, motivated, and successful.

This role focuses on instruction, student engagement, and delivering an exceptional experience for students and families.

What You Will Do

• Teach students using the Mathnasium Method (no lesson planning required)
• Provide clear, concise, and engaging math instruction
• Build student confidence through encouragement and positive reinforcement
• Create a fun, welcoming, and productive learning environment
• Support students across a range of math levels (elementary through high school)
• Track student progress and communicate with the team as needed
• Assist with maintaining a clean and organized learning space
• Deliver a high level of customer experience to students and families

Requirements

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Strong math skills (up to Algebra required)
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students
• Positive, energetic, and patient personality
• Ability to build rapport with students and families
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to follow a structured instructional method
• High School diploma or G.E.D. required; some college preferred
• Experience working with children is a plus (but not required)

Schedule & Availability

This is a part-time Instructor position.

Typical hours include:

• Weekday afternoons and evenings
• Weekend hours as needed
