Advanced Math Instructor – Mathnasium (Jersey City)

We are hiring an Advanced Math Instructor to join our Mathnasium Learning Center in Jersey City. What You'll Do

As an Advanced Math Instructor, you will:

• Teach students using the Mathnasium Method™
• Create a welcoming, engaging, and encouraging learning environment
• Help students build confidence and improve their math skills
• Support students working in advanced mathematics, including high school coursework
• Communicate student progress with Center Leadership
• Assist with center operations and daily learning activities
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and fellow team members

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in:
• • Algebra I & II
  • Geometry
  • Pre-Calculus
  • Calculus
  • Statistics
• High school diploma or GED required
• Some college coursework in mathematics or a related field preferred
• Experience working with children is preferred
• Ability to connect with both students and parents

Additional Requirement

Candidates must successfully complete an advanced math proficiency assessment during the in-person interview process.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling.

Typical hours include:

• Afternoons (beginning around 3:00 PM)
• Evenings
• Weekends
