Superintendent
As a Superintendent in Waterport, you will:
- Lead all onsite construction activities from start to finish
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Monitor construction progress and ensure milestone achievement
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and OSHA compliance
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure work meets project specifications
- Manage material deliveries, logistics, and site operations
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Lead subcontractor coordination and progress meetings
- Identify, address, and resolve field issues proactively
- Maintain daily reports and project documentation
- Oversee punch-list completion and project closeout activities
The successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience
- Strong background in commercial, industrial, institutional, or residential construction
- Proven ability to manage projects through all phases of construction
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Ground-up construction experience
- Experience with renovation and occupied-space projects
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Construction Management degree or equivalent field experience
- Experience using construction scheduling and project management software
