Superintendent - Construction - Brooklyn
Our client is a premier luxury residential General Contractor specializing in architect-driven interior renovations throughout Brooklyn and New York City. Their portfolio includes historic brownstone restorations, full-gut penthouse renovations, custom townhome transformations, and duplex combinations featuring bespoke millwork, premium finishes, and meticulous attention to detail.
As a Superintendent - Construction - Brooklyn, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all day-to-day field operations on luxury residential renovation projects
- Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Maintaining project schedules and ensuring milestone completion
- Coordinating architects, interior designers, consultants, and ownership teams
- Overseeing custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, plaster, metal, and specialty finish installations
- Managing complex interior renovations from demolition through final turnover
- Conducting quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction
- Managing occupied-building logistics and coordinating with homeowners and property management teams
- Leading daily safety meetings and ensuring OSHA compliance
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Coordinating material procurement, deliveries, and project logistics
- Identifying and resolving field issues proactively
- Maintaining daily reports, schedules, and project documentation
- Managing punch-list completion and successful project closeout
The successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience within construction
- Extensive experience managing high-end residential interior renovation projects
- Proven experience with brownstones, penthouses, townhomes, duplexes, luxury apartments, or custom residences
- Strong understanding of custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, plaster, architectural details, and specialty finishes
- Experience working directly with homeowners, architects, and interior designers
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Strong knowledge of luxury residential construction sequencing and logistics
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and maintaining project schedules
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
