Mission-Critical Hardware Engineer
Lead the development of complex mechanical designs for new products and systems. Support engineering program's throughout the full product life cycle, from concept and design through manufacturing and production. Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance, coaching, and design reviews. Design tooling, fabrication fixtures, and test fixtures to support manufacturing and qualification activities. Prepare, review, and maintain detailed engineering documentation and technical data packages. Contribute calculations, drawings, analyses, and technical recommendations for design reviews. Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Present engineering solutions and technical findings to both internal and external audiences. Perform structural, thermal, and tolerance analyses with limited oversight. Help identify and resolve complex engineering challenges related to high-reliability electro-mechanical products.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
- Master's degree holders may qualify with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Candidates with significant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience designing electronic or electro-mechanical products.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, analysis, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to create engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
