Electrical Control Systems Engineer
Design electrical control systems for custom automated industrial equipment. Develop electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs). Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams on motor selection, sensor integration, and process control design. Partner with controls engineers to leverage modern automation technologies and control architectures. Support projects throughout the full equipment lifecycle, including concept development, design, fabrication, testing, and field implementation. Ensure electrical designs meet applicable safety codes, standards, and customer requirements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering team members. Assist with troubleshooting, system validation, and commissioning activities as required.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- Minimum 6 years of experience designing industrial electrical control systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar electrical design software.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, distributed I/O systems, and industrial Ethernet networking.
- Experience with SCCR calculations and Short Circuit Current Analysis.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, and UL508A standards.
- Ability to mentor and support developing engineer
