A full-service general contracting firm located in Kansas City. They focus primarily on commercial, retail, entertainment, hospitality, and healthcare projects up to $30M in value. The company prides itself on its family atmosphere and has established a fantastic company culture for all employees. They are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent for a local Kansas City project, but then open to Midwest travel after.
Job Description
Manage daily on-site construction operations to ensure timely progress and quality outcomes. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to align schedules and resources. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout the construction process. Monitor project budgets and timelines, addressing any potential delays or cost overruns. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to blueprints and quality standards. Resolve on-site issues and provide solutions to maintain project flow. Prepare and submit daily reports on project status and site activities. Foster clear communication among all stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Superintendent should have:
- Superintendent for local Kansas City project. Once local project is completed, must be open to Midwest travel.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, is preferred but not required
- 5+ years of field experience as a Superintendent
- Experience with commercial projects is required, with a preference for retail and restaurant projects
- A proven track record in managing construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams.
- The ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges effectively.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
- A focus on delivering high-quality results while staying on schedule.
