Job Description
The Superintendent - Multifamily - Fairfax, VA will be responsible for:
- Manage day-to-day field operations for ground-up multifamily developments.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and project stakeholders.
- Drive project schedules and maintain accountability against key milestones.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure construction meets project quality standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the jobsite.
- Conduct site walks and proactively identify constructability or scheduling issues.
- Partner with project management and development teams throughout construction.
- Coordinate inspections, punch-list activities, turnover, and project closeout.
- Build productive relationships with subcontractors and maintain strong field communication.
- Help develop junior field personnel and contribute to a team-first jobsite culture.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Superintendent - Multifamily - Fairfax, VA should have:
- Superintendent II: 5-10+ years of relevant construction experience.
- Superintendent I: 1-5 years of relevant construction experience.
- Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred for senior-level candidates.
- Ground-up wood-frame multifamily experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with podium, wrap, garden-style, or similar multifamily construction is valuable.
- Owner-builder or builder-developer experience is preferred, although strong multifamily GC backgrounds will be considered.
- Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and execute construction schedules.
- Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented approach and interest in building a long-term career with the organization.
- Candidates with Lead/Senior Superintendent capabilities are also encouraged to apply.
What's on Offer
The Superintendent - Multifamily - Fairfax, VA
- Base Salary: $100,000-$160,000+ depending on experience
- Superintendent I Bonus: 15%
- Superintendent II Bonus: 20%
- Car Allowance: $400-$600/month depending on level
