2nd shift - 2pm-11pm Pay:$16.00
Job Responsibilities
- Job Review & Setup: Read job tickets, layout sheets, and digital instructions to determine required dimensions, trim sizes, and page counts.
- Machine Programming: Program computer-controlled back gauges, optical cutting lines, and clamp pressures on equipment like MBM Triumph Cutters or semi-automatic guillotines.
- Paper Handling & Alignment: Fan, load, and square stacks of paper or cardstock against the machine guide to prevent sticking, shifting, or crooked cuts.
- Executing Cuts: Operate two-button or dual-hand safety triggers and hydraulic/electric clamps to make clean, accurate cuts.
- Quality Control: Measure finished sheets with a precision scale or ruler (often down to 1/64 of an inch) to check for registration errors, skew, or dull-blade tearing.
- Maintenance & Blade Care: Lubricate moving parts, adjust or swap out cutting sticks, and change or service the guillotine blade as specified by the manufacturer.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow strict shop safety protocols—such as utilizing light curtains, safety locks, and personal protective equipment.
- Documentation & Stacking: Unload finished material onto pallets or carts, label job loads, and record production data on time sheets or job jackets.
