Customer Care Representative
DALLAS, TX (On-Site, Lakewood Contact Center)
Full-Time · $19–$22/hr + Shift Differential
When a homeowner calls Porchlight, something in their house just stopped working. Your job is to be the calmest voice they talk to all day — book the visit, set the window, and tell them the truth: someone's on the way.
Schedule: 4×10s, incl. one weekend day
Start: Within 2 weeks of offer
Training: 3 weeks, paid, on-site
Bilingual: Spanish = +$1.50/hr
What You'll Do
- Answer 60–80 calls a day across all nine Porchlight brands — a furnace out in Plano, a burst pipe in Tulsa, a Friday meltdown in Marietta.
- Book service visits into 2-hour arrival windows and send the on-the-way text customers count on.
- Quote flat-rate emergency pricing exactly as written. The price is the price, even at 2 a.m.
- Route emergencies to overnight dispatch and stay on the line until the handoff is done.
- Log every call clearly enough that the tech walks in already knowing the story.
What You'll Need
- 1+ year on phones with customers — call center, front desk, dispatch, or service counter.
- Typing while talking: 40+ WPM while keeping a worried homeowner steady.
- Reliable attendance. The job starts when we say it does — that goes for us too.
- No degree needed. We'll train you on every brand, every trade, every system.
What You'll Get
- $19–$22/hr to start, +$2/hr after 6 p.m. and on weekends. Raises reviewed every 6 months.
- Medical, dental, and vision on day 31. 401(k) with 4% match. 15 days PTO year one.
- A real career ladder: Care Rep → Senior Rep → Dispatch → Team Lead. Most of our supervisors started on the phones.
