Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- At least 6 years of Experience working in SQL Server databases
- Manage SQL Server databases
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes
- Monitor system's health and performance
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
- Provide suggestions for solutions
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
- Experience working 24x7 on-call rotation with your team and respond to incidents; lead triage bridges during incidents and provide needed status updates
- Understanding of SLA requirements and role of high availability architectures, performance optimization, and monitoring techniques
- Experience with application instrumentation and monitoring
- Ability to review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and process and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Detailed understanding of business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
- Demonstrate strong problem solving, communication, organizational time management and multi-tasking skills.
